HOW TO ENTER: Entries will be in BEELD newspaper 7 – 10 September and entries must be dropped off at the competition stand at The Wedding Expo® 10 – 11 September.
3 Finalists will be chosen and be required to motivate to a panel of judges as to why they believe they should win.
The 3 finalists & their fiances’ will be notified on Monday 12 September by The Wedding Expo Director, via phonecall and will be required to be available on the evening of Tuesday 13 September at the Beeld offices.
Terms and conditions
- Competition closes at 5pm on Sunday 11 September 2011
- Prize is valid for one year from September 2011 – 15 September 2012
- Three finalists will be randomly chosen and must appear at the Beeld offices at 18h30 on Tuesday 13 September 2011 to motivate why they should be the final winner. Finalists must be present with their fiancé and a copy of their South African ID book in order to qualify. A final winner will be chosen from the three finalists
- Only original entry forms will be accepted. No photocopies will be accepted
- Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash
- Only formally engaged couples may enter
- The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding this competition
- Receipt of entries will not be acknowledged
- The entrant accepts that entry to the competition does not constitute a contract or any form of legal commitment between the entrant and the participating newspapers and sponsors
- If the winner is unable to take up a portion of the prize for any reason it becomes forfeited
- Should a sponsor for whatever reason cease business operations, the prize winner will have no claim on the participating newspapers, The Wedding Expo® and other sponsors and the affected portion of the prize shall be forfeited
- The prizes do not include deliveries. Winners need to visit individual sponsors to claim their prize.
- Securing of dates with sponsors is subject to their availability and a suitable date will need to be coordinated by the winner. NOTE: the prize winner may need to be flexible on dates due to possible previous engagements of the sponsors
- Any services provided by a sponsor over and above the sponsored prize value will incur costs which will be for the winner’s own account and no discounts are applicable.
- Employees of the Beeld, the sponsors and their agents or any company associated with the competition and their immediate families are not eligible to enter
- The participating newspapers and sponsors shall not assume liability for any ambiguity, error, oversight or omission whether negligent or otherwise which may be committed by any employee of the participating newspaper and sponsors, their agents or associates in respect of this competition
- Winners are required to submit copies of their ID documents within 1 week of being announced the winners
- Winners are required to be available for photographs within 1 week of winning the competition for the media and accept pictures will be published in Beeld, on The Wedding Expo® website, Facebook page and any other press releases about the competition and winners to be produced by The Wedding Expo® and Beeld
- Winners accept that media could be present at their wedding for photographs to be published after the wedding
- Each prize is subject to additional rules and terms and conditions set out by the sponsor of the prize provided in the prize winner’s letter
- The winners are required to get married in order to redeem all the prizes. Should the winners not get married, all prizes received are required to be returned to sponsors.

All the suppliers connect to this competition are JHB based and so you would have to happy to have your wedding in Johannesburg.

I am very happy that there are places like Wedding Expos to can go and look for ideas. I am planning my wedding by myself and it is so hectic because some other things I don’t even know where to begin. So I am definatelty attending the Expo and entering the competition.
